Established in 1984, Prodrive quickly secured its place in motorsport history by winning the Qatar International Rally with a Porsche 911 SC RS. Over the next 38 years, the company has participated in 1200 events, clinching over 300 victories and 500 podiums. Notably, Colin McRae's triumph in the 1995 RAC Rally marked a historic moment, making him Britain’s first World Rally Champion.
While renowned for its Subaru partnership, Prodrive's diverse success spans multiple manufacturers, championships, and disciplines, including winning Le Mans and dominating the FIA World Endurance Championship with Aston Martin. Currently, Prodrive engages in rally-raid events, the FIA World Rallycross Championship, and manages teams in Extreme E, showcasing its enduring commitment to motorsport excellence.

"This project started life a long time ago as a casual conversation with Tomas about my wife, Karen's interest in taking part in the Peking To Paris Motor Challenge. The collaboration between Prodrive and Hero-ERA has resulted in a unique classic rally car designed specifically to tackle the rigours of long-distance enduro events. The Ford Mustang was a significant departure from our usual projects, but we have utilised all of our rally experience and the result is a testament to everyone who worked on the car at Prodrive."

At the front, suspension is provided by double coil-over adjustable Bilstein dampers with extended travel, paired with tubular wishbones and tierods. At the rear, reinforced turreted rear dampers are coupled with upgraded specification leaf springs, Panhard Rod, and Bilstein GP4 dampers.

An FIA-style multi-point roll cage, featuring low mount door bars, ensures safety without compromising agility.
The "Scottish sump guard" adds an extra layer of defense, accompanied by Kevlar floor guards and skidded leaf spring mounts.
And with axle stand sill pin holes, the bodyshell is a testament to both durability and precision.
